OK, so that essay on weblogs isn't there anymore. Colleges aren't great at preserving the creations of past faculty members. I did archive all of my old Emerson College pages at http://stepno.com/ec but the weblog essay migrated to my other blog, which will itself be moving to a new address by December 2009. This could be a soap opera called "as the Web spins."
