This blog is now just for fun... for more serious or school-related posts, see my JHeroes podcast, revived other journalism blog (& its older version's archive)

I'm curious about combining a program like Qualrus: Idea Works, Inc. with video and audio recording, text notes and PC screen capture or PC monitoring software, such as SpyAgent or Wiretap Professional to create a record of personal interaction with a computer.
In 2013 this Boblog blog became my space for writing about music, as well as keeping up to date on the "blogger" system. My other blogs are JHeroes (old-time radio's portrayal of journalists) & Other Journalism, about news, journalism education, WordPress, and journalist characters in film & fiction. It's the successor to an older site archived at stepno.com/oldblog. In between those sites, I was using this Blogspot account for both school and non-school postings, but from 2007-13 I kept teaching & research things on the other blogs, with personal, quirky and miscellaneous posts on this one.
I have taught journalism, media studies and Web production at Radford University in Virginia, the University of Tennessee and Emerson College. Previously, I was at Nando.net, The University of North Carolina, Soundings Publications, Ashton-Tate, Wesleyan University, and The Hartford Courant.
